Green Energy Systems The world wide focus on climate change, carbon trading and energy efficient power systems sits well with MPower’s capability and experience. Having designed and built numerous successful remote area power stations Advance Power has the capability and track record to accommodate the markets ever increasing desire to become green, renewable, and responsible power users. Our in-house expertise extends to major distributed power cogeneration projects where power generation efficiencies near 80%; compared with traditional coal fired power plants where the final end customer power efficiency can be as low as 25%. The Australian Greenhouse Building Rating (AGBR) scheme rates a building’s greenhouse performance. AGBR is administered nationally by the NSW Department of Energy, Utilities and Sustainability (DEUS). The scheme rates buildings from one to five stars with five stars representing exceptional greenhouse performance. Current market best practice in Australia is three stars. MPower is working with traditional and new customers to achieve higher performance from existing power systems and the inclusion of new efficient power systems to increase building AGBR ratings. MPower as a leader and innovator has many programs in place looking at large energy storage systems such as graphite storage as well as the small consumer with residential based cogeneration power plants. |
