There is an abundance of low cost, low feature UPS’s on the Australian market; foisted by international vendors dipping their toes into the small but very competitive Australian marketplace.  Products designed for the overseas 220V market are tweaked to work in our 240V environment, but with serious limitations in their ability to regulate the extreme variation in voltage here and therefore serious limitations in UPS performance and battery life (as these units switch to battery power more often than this cost-compromise technology is designed to handle).  These units use either   Standby UPS architecture, or have an AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulation) based on a percentage above or below 220V – in Australia’s higher voltage environments these overseas products do not last; and normally require the customer to reinvest in new equipment more often than is needed.   Many of the low-price products offered in our market provide an LCD display; but use low-cost displays that have a high rate of failure.  In recent times these low-cost “false economy” products have suffered disastrous failures.

M+H Power Systems is an Australian owned vendor of both UPS and Generators and have an understanding of the requirements of emergency power solutions unmatched by any other in the Australian market.

The latest offering from M+H to combat the influx of low-cost products is the high spec and fully featured Nikko Imperial Digital (IMD) range (425VA-2000VA).  The Nikko Imperial Digital has a compact and stylish case, with an informative and unique LED display.  Into this compact offering M+H has been able to configure 4 x Australian three pin outlet sockets (3 x UPS outlets including surge protection and battery backup and 1 x surge only outlet, for less critical loads); and a USB interface with bundled with our Upsmon monitoring and shutdown software.

The Nikko range has been available in the Australian market since 1988 with one single manufacturing partner (something that other UPS Vendors cannot boast); and our products are specifically designed for the Australian 240V market. M+H Power Systems has always been at the forefront of quality power solutions.
